“John Stanton, currently Watt Centennial Professor and Director of the�Institute for Theoretical Chemistry�at the University of Texas, Austin, will be joining the faculty of the Department of Chemistry and the Quantum Theory Project in January, 2017 as the William R. Kenan Professor of Chemistry. Professor Stanton is recognized as being one of the most outstanding theoreticians in the world. In addition to his far reaching research accomplishments, Dr. Stanton is also a highly recognized and awarded teacher of undergraduates at UT, being a member of the UT Academy of Distinguished Teachers.
