Professor George Christou awarded the 2016 Nyholm Prize of the UK Royal Society of Chemistry

“Distinguished Professor George Christou has been selected to receive the 2016Nyholm Prize for Inorganic Chemistryfrom the Royal Society of Chemistry in the United Kingdom. He will receive a medal and certificate at the awards ceremony in London in November, and will carry out a lecture tour of UK universities during 2017 as the Nyholm Lecturer. The Nyholm Prize is given every two years to recognize excellence by an inorganic chemist who has established a high quality and high impact research program. It commemorates the life and work of Sir Ronald Nyholm, who was President of the RSC from 1968 to 1970 and, in addition to his outstanding inorganic research activities, was also an ardent campaigner for the improvement of science education.”
