The objective of the program is to support new investigators of outstanding promise in the basic biological sciences relevant to understanding lifespan development processes and age-related diseases. The award is $100,000 per year, for a four year period. Dr. Butcher’s award will support her work on the identification of chemical signals that influence development, metabolism, and lifespan in the model organism C. elegans.”
