Biographical Info
The Seidel group is broadly interested in various aspects of synthetic organic chemistry. A major goal is the rapid generation of complex molecular structures from simple, minimally functionalized building blocks. Current research efforts are focused on the development of practical new methods for C–H bond functionalization and the exploration of new concepts for asymmetric catalysis, including organocatalysis, transition metal catalysis, and multicomponent catalysis.
