About the main shop:

This is a full service machine shop dedicated to the fabrication and assembly of custom scientific instrumentation. Parts are made to close tolerances from all ordinary metals, special metals and alloys, engineering plastics and machinable ceramics. Help is available with materials selection, design, and testing.

Personnel

Student Shop

The Student Machine Shop is located in the Chemistry Lab Building, room C-117, and is open 8:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. To use the shop, you must complete a course offered during the Summer C semester. The course is 2 credits and teaches basic machining skills, as well as an introduction to mechanical drawing. Anyone interested in taking the summer shop course should contact Todd Prox.
