About Me:
I am from St. Louis, MO. (Home of the world champions, St. Louis Cardinals!!!) I graduated from Saint Louis University with my BS. Shortly afterward I took a position with Mallinckrodt Inc. as a peptide chemist working on the production of peptides on the pilot plant scale. After a short period, I moved from the production side of the peptide department to the QC/QA side. My last move with the company involved a transfer to Bulk Pharmaceutical R&D where I developed HPLC and LC-MS methods to support new and/or improved organic synthetic methods for the production of analgesics. While working at my last job, I finished my MS in Chemistry from Saint Louis University.
Research Interests:
As a result of my industrial training over the past few years, I am interested in the quantitation of small molecules. With the emergence of laser microprobe/imaging mass spectrometry, I have been trying to develop methods to quantitate small drug molecules in tissue samples.
Teaching Assignments:
2005-2006: 2045L General Chemistry Lab
