Rachid Matmour, a native of France, received his B.Sc in Chemistry from the University of Bordeaux, France (2001). He is currently working on his Ph-D in both Dr Gnanou's group in Bordeaux, France, and in Dr Duran 's group at the University of Florida. With Dr Gnanou at the Laboratoire de Chimie des Polymeres Organiques (LCPO) in the University of Bordeaux he is working on the synthesis of (co)polymers with complex architectures (star and dendrimer-like (co)polymers) by living anionic polymerization and controlled radical polymerization (ATRP...). With Dr Duran he is studying the surface active properties of these amphiphilic star and dendrimer-like block copolymers at the air/water interface.
