NMR User Notes |
Excellent Shims Excellent SN |
Excellent Shims Very Good 4nuc SN |
Very Good Shims Fair 4nuc SN |
Excellent Shims Very Good H/C SN |
Line-shape
test uses latest shims and measures width in Hz of the NMR singlet in 20%
CdCl3/Acetone @ 50%, .55%, .11% line-height respectively. Lower is better and implies better
signal separation.
Signal
to Noise (SN) comparisons with higher values are better (ignore pw90/tpwr). For long
duration experiments lower values add significant time. For a certain signal to noise value
found using command dsn (display signal to noise) you
may expect ~ a doubling of signal by quadrupling the nt (number of transients). Any questions on interpreting the above
table please email, call or stop by.
