Installation Procedure

  1. Download and save the cust.tar file for the version of vnmr you are using. (cust.tar for vnmr6.1C)  or (cust.tar for vnmr6.1B) in the folder export/home/vnmr/custom/.
  2. In a console or terminal window type:
    cd /vnmr/custom
    tar -xvf cust.tar
    to uncompress the files.

    3. Steps 3-5 are for the cust.tar for vnmr6.1B ONLY.
  3. Point the File Manager to /vnmr/custom/maclib and double click on the file custom to edit it.
  4. Change the name of vnmr from mine (vnmr.6.1.B) to yours, (most likely vnmr) in
    maclibpath=, menulibpath=, helppath=, and manualpath=.
  5. Save and close.
  6. Move the files custom and rm_custom from /vnmr/custom to /vnmr/maclib.
  7. Delete /vnmr/cust.tar.
  8. In the input widow of vnmr type: custom / rm_custom to create / destroy the alternate paths for menulib, maclib and help
    i.e. switch this customization on / off.

For the 6.1C version, there is an easy setup for 2D experiments. To access it, rename  /vnmr/custom/menulib/setup.optional to /vnmr/custom/menulib/setup. Now you have to save the parameters for the 2D experiments you use in /vnmr/parlib, to save shims with the probe name in /vnmr/shims/, to modify /vnmr/custom/maclib/setlockpars, and whatever it takes, you are on your own.
