Research
Interest:
My research is the study of a novel synthetic procedure of the nanomembranes
and investigating the applications of it, especially bio-application such
as separation, biosensor, and drug-delivery. I am working on synthesizing
a new kind of porous, high-surface-area nanoparticle nanotubes. Nanoparticles,
are particularly attractive building blocks for nanomaterial architectures.
I need to modify the property of nanoparticle nanotube such as electrical,
optical property and diverse surface chemistries.
Personal Bio:
I am from South Korea which looks Florida because it is surrounded by
the sea. My home town is Gangneung, well-known as a summer resort. I received
my MS of bioinorganic chemistry in 2001 and my BS of chemistry in Korea
University. To me, the most valuable person is my wife, Heh young. I love
her very much. I am so pleased that we will have another family member,
our baby this December. If I am free, I like to play sports such as taekwondo,
basketball, soccer, and running. University of Florida! Here is the heaven
to me. I am so glad to join Dr. Martin's group who is one of pioneers
in the field of nanochemistry. Now, I am a novice, a graduate student
in UF, but I will do my best to get through the goal of my research. |
